In 2018 -19 Gram Sewa Samiti in association with Gandhi Bhawan Bhopal organised year long celebrations for 150th years of Gandhi’s birth. It was decided that a group of Gandhian enthusiasts would visit all those more than thirty places of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh ,which were visited by Gandhi in his lifetime. Special programs were organised at all such places with the active participation of local gandhians. During this tour the group also visited the veteran freedom fighters and the families of freedom fighters. This Yatra was started from Gandhi Gram Sewa Kendra, Chedka,a remote tribal village in the buffer zone of Satpuda national park. At Itarasi, Harda, Burhanpur, Indore,Raipur and Bilaspur large gatherings came forward and held meetings in schools, colleges and clubs etc.
