Gram Sewa Samiti was established under the guidance of Dr R K Paliwal, a renound Gandhian thinker for holistic developement of villages. We have close association with the like-minded Delhi based NGO Yogdan, which is having experience of more than two decades of continuous social service in Urban as well as rural areas across the country.
At present our thrust is at Char Mandali village of Abidabad Panchayat of Sehore District M.P., Gonglur Village of Sangareddy District Telangana and Chedka, a remote tribal village in Tahsil Sohagpur of Hoshangabad district of MP, located on the outskirts of world famous Satpura National Park, where Yogdan and Gram Sewa Samiti have set up a Gandhi Gram Sewa Kendra at all the villages. Using this center as a platform, Gram Sewa Samiti has started several projects of community service for the very poor rural people of these villages and nearby villages.
Our activities includes holding of a regular monthly medical camp, provision of safe drinking water, creation of a Library, Sport facilities, cleanliness and hygiene awareness program, establishing a nursery for massive plantation, various alternative employment generation activities like Organic Farming, Production of soaps and packaging of various products through self-help groups of women.
